Towers Watson

Towers Watson has announced the launch of an employee benefits consulting division in Turkey in response to the rapid growth in employee benefits now being offered to private-sector Turkish employees. The practice, which will be lead by Sema Gökdemir, will focus particularly on retirement, group health care and life assurance. Ms Gökdemir has over 15 years’ local and multinational experience in the employee benefits industry, having worked for global life assurance and pension companies, such as Metlife, Alico and Aviva.

 

Criteo

Criteo, the performance advertising technology company, has announced the appointment of Mimi Gigoux as Executive Vice President, Human Resources. She will lead all human resource operations globally, reporting to President and Chief Operating Officer Eric Eichmann. Ms Gigoux joins Criteo from Calix Inc., where she was SVP, Talent and Culture.

 

JLT Employee Benefits

JLT Employee Benefits has announced the appointment of Jonathan Mindell as Executive Director. Based in the UK, he joins from Mercer, where he was a Senior Partner. In addition, Nick Bushell has taken on the role of Head of Health and Risk. Mr Bushell was previously Sales Director at Lorica Employee Benefits.

 

Zurich Employee Benefits Network

Zurich Employee Benefits Network has announced that Giuseppe Dell’Erba has joined International Group Risk Solutions (IGRS) as Chief Operating Officer. In addition, in support of a new, more efficient model that is being introduced, the following changes have been made. Jean-Luc Brägger has taken on the newly created role of Head of Network Partners Coordination and Relationships, looking after ZEBN’s global network of partners. ZEBN Delivery & Accounting continues to be led by George Johnson who now reports to Mr Dell’Erba, and ZEBN Underwriting and Pricing by Miguel Miranda.

The Sales and Customer Relationship Management team is led by Lance Henderson, based in the United States.

 

Abelica Global

Abelica Global, a leading worldwide network of independent actuarial consulting firms, has announced the appointment of Paul Harrietha as Chairman with effect from 1 November. A Principal and Head of the Communications & Change Management Practice at the Canadian partner Eckler Ltd., Mr Harrietha succeeds Stephen Ainsworth of BWCI Group as Chairman following the completion of a successful six-year term. In his expanded role, Mr Harrietha assumes responsibility for the strategic direction and growth of the network, with a particular focus on business development. The strategy is supported fully by the retiring Chairman. He is particularly enthusiastic about what appears to be a shifting focus on the part of international and multinational employers, who are placing a premium on local knowledge – and on the flexibility and agility that he believes independent firms can provide.
